It is simple in structure, easy to maintain and cheap in price.
Choice of power supply: impressed current cathodic protection abroad mostly used rectifier, due to soil medium, humidity change is not frequent, rectifier completely satisfied with the requirements of cathodic protection.
At present, there are two kinds of copper sulfate reference electrodes commonly used in cathodic protection, which are portable and long-effect type. The portable copper electrode can be changed and polished at any time, so that the potential is easy to achieve no chaos and correct.
The long-term copper sulfate reference electrode is often affected by the production process and the use of the environment, the requirement of buried in the perennial wet soil, if fully immersed in water or dry soil will affect the correctness of the reference electrode, resulting in a large deviation.
. Solid zinc reference is also related to the use environment. Once the soil is dry, the reference potential of zinc is positively shifted, and the reference change will lose its significance as a reference. The long-term reference electrode needs to be improved. In addition, the potentiostat must rely on the long-acting reference electrode to feedback the signal. If the reference electrode is not accurate, the output of the potentiostat will be affected. Therefore, it is recommended to give priority to the rectifier in the design.
